A whole renovation was completed on this 1890s workers cottage, including ensuite, new bathroom, kitchen, and roof space storage. At some point in this little houses history, aluminium windows were installed replacing the original double hung sash windows. All windows were removed, and timber double hung sash windows, with the addition of insulated glass were installed.
Most importantly, the front of the house received some much needed love and attention. As no photos exist of the original facade, pointers were taken from surrounding homes from a similar period. The client was able to then pick and choose the elements they felt best represented them and the home, whilst improving the street appeal in a heritage zone.
A great project, and fantastic client.
